TOKYO (AFP) - Japanese high-tech firm Sharp said its profit and sales hit record highs for the first half thanks to robust sales of its main products, led by liquid crystal displays (LCDs).

Group net profit jumped 22.1 percent from a year earlier to 27.9 billion yen (258 million dollars), said Sharp, which stayed in the winning group of the nation's competitive electronics sector for April-September.

If you need a big screen the SHARP LC30HV4U - 30" Widescreen LCD TV is not a horrible unit. There are better units available in different sized. If you must get a big screen and you want a LCD tv, you may be best served to wait until they get the bugs worked out.

Sharp LC-20B2UA does a good job for it’s size. We give this unit LCD-TV-Reviews.com editors choice award for it’s 20 inch size. Stay away from the 30 incher. In this case bigger is not better.
